Mr Arid

Presentation of a new soap, "Mr Arid"... not for our skin fortunately. It's made with unrefined shea butter and avocado oil.

Identity

Saponified oils: Shea butter, coco, olive, sunflower
Superfats: Shea butter and Avocado oil (2%) and (6%)
At trace: Honey
Essential oils: None
Colour: Turmeric powder for the red/brown and natural yellow (Shea butter and honey)

Results

This soap was a nightmare, it took ages to dry and become hard enough after 2/3 weeks.
Avocado oil and honey make the soap soft therefor I had to wait more than usually for this one, even with the 20% of Shea butter inside.

Look inside after 4 weeks:

If you compare the inside with a piece which is already dry, you can notice the difference

Anyway, after a big gel phase (honey part responsible) and with Sioux's patience, that's the result:

I'm quite satisfied with this soap, it keeps the skin moist after shower but it miss lather, definitely. And I know exactly for what. I was running out of distilled water that's why I used a basic bottle of water, a water full of minerals, good for our body but not for making soap of course! I just wanted to try and notice the difference, you definitely have one, almost no lather.

However, the few foam the soap is given is very creamy, a real pleasure.

So now, a new batch ready for sharing and swapping!!!
